Macintosh OS 7.5

If you are using MAC OS 7.5 or greater, then use these easy instructions to setup your Internet Browser. You will need your Colosseum's Internet Software along with the following programs:

• Open Transport 1.1 or greater (found on your System CD)
• TCP/IP Control Panel (found on your System CD)
• Config PPP Control Panel
• PPP (in your extensions folder)

TCP/IP Configuration:

• Open TCP/IP Control Panel and select "Connect via MacPPP"
• Select to configure USING A PPP SERVER. The IP address, Subnet Mask and Router Address should all read "will be supplied by server".
• Enter the NAME SERVER (216.95.249.3) and the SEARCH DOMAIN (colosseum.com).
• Enter another NAME SERVER (216.95.249.4) and the SEARCH DOMAIN (colosseum.com)
• Close the window and save your changes.

Config PPP Configuration:

This is the software that is used to connect to the Colosseum's server. Please note that different versions of the program may have slightly different settings.

• Open the Config PPP Control Panel and select the following options:
  • PORT NAME (modem port)
  • IDLE TIMEOUT (this is the amount of time a connection may remain inactive before the computer automatically disconnects you from the server.)
  • ECHO INTERVAL (the amount of time before the computer sends a "ping" to the server to see if you're still connected)
  • ECHO INTERVAL (the amount of time before the computer sends a "ping" to the server to see if you're still connected)
• HANGUP ON CLOSE (select whether or not you want to disconnect when you close your browser)
• PPP SERVER (pop up menu that should allow you to select The Colosseum.
• Click the CONFIG button and select the following options:
  • PORT SPEED (14.4 = 19,200, 28.8 = 38,400 etc.)
  • PHONE NUMBER (The Colosseum's Phone number: 416-739-1222
  • MODEM INIT (We recommend you use AT&F1, or you can leave it blank)

You are now ready to get online with The Colosseum!
